I Dont Think You Sould Eat Greenstuff...

So having flirted with the idea of getting back into the Warhammer Fantasy and 40K games for what seems like eternity I have decided to (re-)join the ranks of those who model, paint and game in the name of a plastic crack addiction.  So with this idea in mind I have also decided to start a small blog to keep track of my (un)impressive ideas and (lack of)progress. So with these thoughts I guess I should start my first entry.

It was only through the process of being out of the hobby for around 2-3 years that I'm going to have several problems. Firstly, my impressive paint collection from when I was heavily into the hobby has now dried to a fine paste meaning I need to repurchase. Secondly the same paint collection does not exist under games workshops new paint range meaning whatever skills and tricks I remember are harder to replicate. And finally after a 2-3 year hiatus, whatever paining 'muscles' I had haven't weaned but more disappeared. Its at this point I remember a friends article he posted on his own blog (Over at The Triple Helix Project) bout getting back into painting.

Its quite a nice little story that I would encourage all avid painters to read at some point of their hobby lives, as the pressure of day to day realities prevents us from engaging with our little toy soldiers as much as we would like. So as I re-stock my paint supplies and pick up the brush for the first time in a (very, very, very,)very long time I hope that I can get back my painting ability.

Whats left of my paints + some new selections bought.
For any who knew me this was once full to the brim.
So very new to this whole blogging thing, I hope to improve and remember to take photos. So bare with me. I hope this blog improves with everything else. Hope to be writing again soon with some positive updates or at least evidence of lessons learned. Wish me luck!

P.S. I in no way endorse the consumption of any modelling putty.
